I have decided to start replacing alcoholic beverages with organic tea. I started collaging one of my bathroom walls. I have a few additional ideas for how to eventually make the move to full-time self-employment and will keep working on those... Creativity, self-care...
I love epsom salt baths, and yesterday's indulgence included some apple cider vinegar, a few drops of grapefruit essential oil, a couple pumps of grapefruit JR Watkins hand soap and a smidgeon of baking soda (all that was left in that particular box - it is supposed to help bind the toxins or something like that I believe...).
Since the cats disappeared I have had to continually fight a feeling of doom and gloom, and have encountered numerous challenging circumstances in a seemingly rapid succession, from repeat difficult clients at work, to my first ever fender-bender at a gas station. Since I believe you get more of what you put your mind on, when I find myself slipping into negativity it sometimes causes a state of near-panic and/or defeat. At times like this I try for small victories: getting up and going to work on time; making it through the day (even if I spend most of my time at home watching Gilmore Girls); remembering to buy Kleenex... and all the necessary ingredients to make a nice curry. Emptying the gross stuff out of the fridge. Etc.
Another recent source of inspiration was this post by Danielle Laporte on Pain, Purification and Passion. It was one of those very timely pieces of wisdom that pop up in your Facebook feed (I always try to capture these on my own Twitter and FB for later reference, please feel free to follow).
Well, it promises to be a month of meetings and workshops, and hopefully healing and growth. Wishing you all the best...
