A book I love is The Re-Enchantment of Everyday Life by Thomas Moore. In it, he discusses the need to nurture our souls and imaginations by extending our contact with nature, which can both help us connect with eternity in grand vistas, or bring us back to the present moment with small scenes. Our connection to the elements of nature comes from our lived experience but is also mythological, symbolic and emotional on levels we may not understand. Trees, water, rocks, the sky, the changing light of day and rhythm of the seasons... While images are not a replacement for the real thing, I also know what it is like to be removed from nature for long periods of the day and week, and believe in decorating our living and work spaces in ways that keep us connected to beauty, and are good for the soul.

I love the idea of bringing more nature and art into our lives with everyday objects. I feel like my images make unique gifts or souvenirs, and appreciate your support for individual artists such as myself (items are print-on-demand rather than mass-produced).
